What does the recent research on Periodontal Laser Surgery say about LANAP [Laser Assisted New Attachment Protocol]? Is there any newer research results?

In a word–‘Yes’.   In a recently Published Article from the  International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry, LANAP [Laser Assisted New Attachment Protocol] demonstrated new clinical attachment of the gum to teeth, attachment previously lost to periodontal disease infection.    This is in addition to earlier studies of Yukna [2007] showing the same thing, which is that LANAP laser surgery can  reverse bone loss caused by periodontal disease [but not in all cases], with less pain [and no sutures or cutting.]  http://www.lanap.com/pdf/2012_July9_IJPRD_32_5_Nevins_2.pdf
